Product description ------------------- Preliminary cleaning: remove any and/or in surface layer covering rust using suitable detergent and/or descaler. Soaking/filling: soak in a tub or fill (for. tank, thread, etc.) the metal object to be cleaned for at least 30 minutes in the event of a thin film, or up to 24/48 hours for more substantial coatings of rust. If Evapo-Rust is diluted with water, the above timing is no longer valid, as time required increases according to the degree of dilution. To avoid slowing down the reaction excessively, it is not recommended to dilute beyond the 1:1 ratio (i.e. 1 litre of Evapo-Rust to 1 litre of water). Even when diluted, consumption remains the same: 1 litre of Evapo-Rust removes up to 60 grams of dry rust. It is recommended to completely submerge the metal object because, in case of partial immersion, some pieces may develop a dark line at the liquid surface level. In case of a thick coating of rust, it is essential to periodically (every 6 to 12 hours) rinse and/or gently brush the metal object being cleaned or, in the case of the inside of a tank, vigorously shake the entire tank containing Evapo-Rust.
